Michael Dworkis is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPC), certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
He is the In-House Primary Care Mental Health Counselor for First Care Medical Group of New Jersey. In addition, Michael also owns a private practice, providing counseling service through online telemed.
His clinical work specializes in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues such as life changing events across the lifespan. Treating adults and children for over eight years, Michael utilizes a variety of modern therapeutic clinical methods, such as CBT, Reality Therapy, and when in-person, Play Therapy with children.
Michael employs a straight-forward yet-compassionate approach, helping individuals break through difficult obstacles, gradually reducing persistent symptoms of anxiety and depression. His goal is educating patients to be able to recognize the importance of self-care, and maintain a positive approach to mental health.

Michael's prior experience includes working as a school-based mental health counselor in Cliffside Park and Palisades Park School Districts, as well as providing clinical services at Jewish Family and Children's Services of Northern New Jersey. Additionally, Michael was Intake Coordinator, supervising first-year and second-year interns, ran the agency food pantry services, as well as the financial assistance program for agency clients.
He has also worked for Hudson River Care and Counseling, Integrated Therapy Services, and has run process groups for Turning Point Recovery Center in Paterson.
